Welcome to Lone Star College-CyFair!

To help with your transition to our college, LSC-CyFair offers New Student Orientation sessions throughout the year. These sessions give incoming college students an opportunity to learn about Lone Star College, connect with peers, and faculty and staff, as well as get on the right pathway for college enrollment and success! If you finish New Student Orientation with College Placement already in our system, you will be able to register yourself for the current or upcoming semester using the Registration Blueprint!

Registering for Orientation

Student must complete the steps in their student checklist before attending a New Student Orientation session. We provide three methods for our students to complete New Student Orientation.

Online and In-Person Sessions

We are connecting with future college students virtually and in-person! To register for an orientation session, log in to your my.LoneStar.edu account > Choose Admissions Tile > Choose �Complete New Student Orientation� > Select an NSO in-person or NSO LIVE (on ZOOM) and find the date and time that works with your schedule! Please be aware that no walk-ins are allowed for the in-person sessions.

On-Demand is avaliable for students who are 100% online

To access an on-demand online orientation, visit my.LoneStar.edu, log in and click on the Admissions Tab. One of your checklist options will be New Student Orientation, and that is where you can complete an online New Student Orientation module at your convenience. You can do this at any time, on any device. Call 832.813.6600 if you experience any technical difficulties logging in or navigating your myLoneStar portal.

Students Exempt from Orientation:

• Continuing Education students (non-credit programs):
  Consult an Advisor for incoming college student information
• Dual Credit students who are not graduating high school within a semester:
  High school students are only required to attend Orientation once they are ready to enter college
• Students who have attended college previously and have college credit to transfer:
  Have your official college transcript sent to Registrar@LoneStar.edu, email your unofficial college transcript to CFTScripts@LoneStar.edu, and visit Transcripts for more information
• Students accepted into another college for the Fall semester, but would like to enroll in the prior Summer semester at LSC-CyFair:
  Submit your College Acceptance letter to CF-Information@LoneStar.edu
